Job Summary: The Safety Technician is responsible for upholding safe work performance, values and culture; helping to ensure safe production in support of company objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for serving as a subject matter expert for employees and contract partners regarding safety and compliance.
• Responsible for working with site leaders and Safety Manager to ensure all employees are conducting their daily work in safe manner.
• Responsible for training new employees and providing refresher training for existing employees regarding safe work practices and proactive identification of safety hazards.
• Responsible for participating in /conducting daily crew safety briefings or meetings and inspections.
• Perform site safety audits.
• Responsible for wearing proper PPE at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Skills:
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressive responsibility in an industrial health and safety role required.
• Strong familiarity with OSHA.
• Ability to work well with others required.
• Ability to communicate professionally in written and verbal form required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft programs required.
• Ability to work flexible hours/schedule required.
• Ability to work independently with self-motivation required.
Physical Requirements:
• Required to walk on un-even, wet or slippery ground and to work in inclement weather.
• Required to periodically lift items weighing approx. 50 pounds

Bilingual (English/Spanish), Strong computer skills, OSHA 10 Certified, Previous experience as a Safety Aid First Commander, First Aid/CPR Certified
