Job Type: Full-time | Remote | Travel Required
Overview
A well-regarded construction company with a strong track record in the industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) space is expanding into the U.S. market. Known for its integrity, responsiveness, and high-quality steel solutions on complex industrial projects, the company is seeking a Sales Manager to drive growth and build its presence across the U.S. industrial construction sector.
This is a hands-on, full-cycle sales role—you’ll prospect new business, develop client relationships, manage proposals in coordination with internal teams, and lead negotiations through close. You’ll also play a key role in shaping go-to-market strategy as the company grows in the U.S.
If you’re motivated by ownership, trusted to work independently, and energized by the chance to build something with long-term upside, this is the opportunity.
What You’ll Do
- Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification to proposal, negotiation, and close.
- Sell structural steel, erection, and PEMB subcontracting scopes for industrial new builds (no GC work).
- Develop and maintain relationships with developers, EPCs, end users, engineers, and consultants.
- Build and manage a pipeline of industrial opportunities with varying sales cycles.
- Collaborate with estimating and marketing teams to develop compelling, competitive bids.
- Represent the company at client meetings, trade shows, and on project sites as needed.
- Travel up to 50%; preference for candidates based in Texas, Florida, or Nevada (but open to strong fits elsewhere).
What We’re Looking For Must-Have Experience:
- 5–10 years in B2B sales within industrial construction, steel subcontracting, or related technical scopes.
- Proven success managing complex sales cycles and closing new business independently.
- Familiarity with selling into industrial sectors—manufacturing, logistics, aviation, mining, energy, or similar.
- Ability to operate with minimal supervision and manage a remote territory effectively.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with steel erection, PEMBs, or fabrication services.
- Existing network in mining, oil & gas, logistics, aviation, or manufacturing.
- Experience launching a new sales territory or brand presence in the U.S.
- Familiarity with design-build or turnkey industrial project delivery.
Key Skills
- Technical understanding of construction drawings and scopes
- Prospecting and full-cycle pipeline management
- Relationship development with technical and executive stakeholders
- Strategic thinking and deal negotiation
- Excellent time and territory management
Why This Role?
- Total ownership: Run your territory and drive your revenue without micromanagement.
- Be a market-maker: Help define our U.S. presence—your strategy, relationships, and results will shape our growth.
- Autonomy without red tape: You’ll have freedom to make decisions and move fast, backed by experienced internal teams.
- Future growth path: As the U.S. team expands, there’s opportunity to step into a regional or national leadership role.
- Respected company: We’re known for quality work and long-term partnerships across North America.
