SCDOT Inspector (Concrete/Asphalt/Earthworks)

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector in our Charleston, SC office. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Positions offer the opportunity for growth and advancement for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Perform field services for soils, foundations, pavement sections, reinforced concrete, structural masonry, wood framing, structural steel and other special inspections, as applicable.
• Coordinate with contractors, and NOVA staff regarding execution of required services and result of testing and/or inspections, as applicable.
• Prepare detailed and complete daily field reports

Requirements:

• SCDOT Level 1 and 2 Concrete Field Technician

OR

• SCDOT Asphalt I & II and/or SCDOT Earthworks I & II with the ability to get Concrete I & II
• SCDOT Foundations preferred or ability to obtain quickly
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction inspection, with a focus on pile driving and bridge/roadway projects
• Strong knowledge of SCDOT construction standards and procedures
