Dyson Technical Solutions is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Cabling Technician to take charge of on-site structured cabling installations across commercial, industrial, and government projects. This is a high-responsibility role ideal for a technician who not only knows the ins and outs of low voltage and telecom systems but can also lead a crew, ensure code compliance, and deliver project excellence. Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To
  • Lead installation crews on structured cabling projects involving Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics, and coax
  • Interpret construction blueprints, floor plans, and cable routing diagrams
  • Oversee the layout, routing, termination, testing, and labeling of all low voltage cabling
  • Install and dress telecom closets, racks, patch panels, and grounding infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with local and federal codes, as well as BICSI and OSHA standards
  • Train and mentor junior installers and ensure team adherence to best practices
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and installation milestones
  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and clients to ensure timelines are met
  • Monitor safety on job sites and enforce proper use of PPE and lift equipment
  • Travel to regional and out-of-town project sites, with lodging and per diem as needed

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in structured cabling and commercial low voltage systems
  • Demonstrated leadership on job sites and supervising crews
  • BICSI certification highly preferred (Level 1 or 2 Technician, or Installer)
  • OSHA 10-hour certification required
  • First Aid/CPR certification required
  • Associate degree in a related technical field preferred
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience with cable testers, fusion splicing, and OTDR use is a plus
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders/lifts
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record

Work Schedule
