Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead power infrastructure construction projects. This role serves as the critical bridge between field operations and project leadership, managing multi-million dollar construction efforts from conception to completion. The position requires 70% office work and 30% field time, acting as the quarterback for complex energy infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage construction work performed by contractors and vendors at project sites
• Assess productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance
• Manage contractor safety plans and ensure compliance with all safety protocols
• Oversee large-scale commissioning efforts including project scope and risk management
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams ensuring technical and operational excellence
• Validate acceptance of completed work to design requirements and approve contractor payments
• Conduct project walk-downs and resolve constructability issues
• Manage scope control, budget oversight, performance reporting, and schedules
• Lead complex negotiations with EPC contractors and regulatory agencies
• Provide leadership and coaching to Construction Supervisors and supplemental workforce

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 11-15 years of experience in power plant commissioning and construction management
• Extensive experience working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers
• Strong understanding of engineering principles related to power plant commissioning
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no alcohol/drug offenses in past 5 years)
• Experience with project management software and construction documentation
• Strong leadership and communication skills
