The Engineering Services group (EG) is a focused group within the larger Air Liquide Electronics (ALE) organization that specializes in providing project development and estimation, design services and project and construction management for carrier gas, specialty gas and chemical systems. Team members are chemical and mechanical engineers, project development and implementation managers, and construction support specialists who work closely to meet the high expectations of Electronics customers. The core focus of this group is growing Air Liquide’s customer base in the U.S. Electronics industry through turnkey project design, installation and management. The expertise of this team is enhanced with licensed Professional Engineers and PMP certified project managers.
Responsibilities
On-site construction leadership for capital projects
Lead & mentor on-site construction teams
Contractor management and project safety leader
Lead construction progress & project schedule adherence
Serve as project representative with client, constructor, subcontractors, and vendors at kick-off meetings, job walks, project review, and other meetings and correspondence.
Lead job site preparation & upkeep to maintain safe working conditions at all times.
Ensure site conditions and contractors meet Air Liquide practices and customer standards.
Assist project manager with project planning and schedule development.
Lead construction and start-up teams to meet project plan.
Train and coach personnel to perform all required job site activities.
Ensure job site construction tasks are accomplished safely and properly documented.
Manage job site Safe Work Permit Program and Lock Out Tag Out Program.
Manage all aspects of on-site contractor safety.
Lead periodic project team safety meetings to cascade safety goals and objectives.
Perform contractor safety assessments and provide performance feedback to the project manager.
Lead vendor bid conferences and job walks. Provide vendor recommendations to project manager.
Assist project manager with Purchase Order Requests and tracking PO Issuance to completion.
Lead equipment logistics, deliveries, and parts inventories.
Participate in lessons learned activities to identify & address opportunities for improvement.
Coordinate training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed.
Requirements
BS In Construction Management related discipline or equivalent work experience
5+ of experience in construction management or related field
Demonstrated Construction Management and Team Leadership
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated Safety Focus and Leadership
Competent in the use of computer software applications for project control and administration
Knowledge of construction processes and materials. Knowledge of relavant rules, regulations and quality standards
Experience With Electronic Specialty Gas (ESG), Carrier Gas (CG), and/or air separation (ASU) Equipment preferred
Military Experience Is A Plus.
The Salary rate range for this position in Texas is $115,000.00 to $130,000.00
