About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Corrosion Engineer to join our growing Energy team in Houston, TX. This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional with CP3 or CP4 certification who can lead complex projects and provide technical expertise.

The successful candidate will play a key role in interfacing directly with clients, and driving project execution across various markets and geographies. Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field

  • 5+ years of corrosion engineering experience, with a strong background in cathodic protection

  • NACE/AMPP CP3 or CP4 certification required

  • Strong technical knowledge of corrosion control, mitigation strategies, and regulatory compliance

  • Proven ability to manage and execute field and office-based corrosion engineering tasks

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot cathodic protection systems

  • Effective communicator with experience in client interaction and proposal development

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to lead projects independently or within a team

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead and conduct cathodic protection system design, installation, and troubleshooting

  • Oversee and perform CP annual surveys, close interval surveys (CIS), and DCVG surveys

  • Manage and execute pipeline locating, soil resistivity testing, and AC mitigation surveys

  • Perform rectifier troubleshooting, pipeline current mapping (PCM), and bellhole inspections

  • Develop and implement corrosion mitigation strategies in compliance with industry standards

  • Support proposal development, client engagement, and business growth initiatives

  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and field technicians

Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Senior Corrosion Engineer with a salary range of $117,400.00 - $189,500.00 .
