We are seeking a Senior Designer to join our growing Transportation team in Tampa, FL!
Job Responsibilities
· Direct responsibility for project design and the development of plans and specifications for transportation projects that include pavement design, horizontal and vertical design, temporary traffic control design, drainage, and other miscellaneous reports and documents
· Oversee a team of engineers, designers, and technicians as the lead designer, with a focus on mentorship and growing the skills of team members
· Coordinate projects that need to be converted between MicroStation and AutoCAD
· Work toward a high level of design proficiency in other areas of transportation, including roadways, signing and pavement marking, drainage, and more
· Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
· Registered PE in FL is a plus
· 8-12 years of experience working with Transportation projects
· Experience with MicroStation OpenRoads Designer, as well as experience with plans development for FDOT and comparable counties in the region
· Light to moderate travel - occasionally required to gather field data offsite
· Ability to work in various weather conditions may be required
· Ability to work extra hours, including evenings and weekends, when needed as the project schedule demands
