Job Description

The Sr. Lead Planner & Scheduler provides dedicated planning and scheduling expertise across all active Crusoe campuses throughout the full project lifecycle with a heavy emphasis on early planning — from lease schedule development through GMP, handoff to program or JV partners, and field mobilization. This role is the technical backbone of the Integrated Planning & Scheduling Leadership Team, ensuring that every campus begins with a reliable, well-structured schedule grounded in DPR standards, Crusoe reporting requirements, and an integrated delivery strategy.

This role leads the development and optimization of complex project schedules across multiple campuses and programs, partners with cross-functional teams to align advanced planning and scheduling strategies with enterprise-wide priorities, and drives consistency in scheduling practices, tools, and deliverables across the account. The Sr. Lead Planner & Scheduler champions a culture of continuous improvement and planning excellence — serving as both a technical expert and a coach to campus-level planning and scheduling teams
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive project schedules and visual planning strategies for complex, multi-phase, and multi-campus initiatives, ensuring alignment with DPR and Crusoe organizational standards.

  • Leads development of Lease Schedules and iGMP / fGMP schedules from DPR / Crusoe templates — incorporating project attributes, site logistics, key milestones, Basis of Schedule (BOS) documentation, and Crusoe-specific reporting requirements.

  • Integrates critical planning inputs into the schedule including Design packages, Procurement (OFCI), EHS High Risk Activities (HRAs), Commissioning, DPR Family of Companies (FoC), and Trade Partner sequencing.

  • Maintains P6 schedule integrity across all planning levels (LOD 1–5) — from executive milestone maps through phase schedules and short-interval planning (SIP).

  • Coordinates weekly and bi-weekly schedule updates, data date management, and monthly reporting narratives per DPR and Crusoe contract requirements.

  • Analyzes project performance data and schedule indicators to forecast risks, develop mitigation strategies, and support informed decision-making across the account.

  • Monitors schedule health metrics through PSPP dashboards; identifies and escalates variances, critical path changes, and risk areas to the Account Planning Leader.

  • Supports the Milestone Alignment Planning (MAP) process — facilitating sessions with owners, design teams, and trade partners to commit to and document key milestone conditions.

  • Facilitates structured schedule handoffs to Program or JV schedule leads — documenting WBS structure, LBS conventions, milestone commitments, and DPR scope responsibilities.

  • Maintains coordination with JV schedule leads during execution — aligning DPR's update cycle, constraint log, and production reporting with the JV master schedule.

  • Establishes and enforces consistent scheduling standards, WBS and LBS structures, activity codes, and update workflows across all active Crusoe campuses.

  • Performs Change Order and Time Impact Analyses (TIA) as schedule conditions evolve.

  • Provides technical guidance and coaching to campus-level planners and schedulers on P6 workflows, scheduling standards, and SMP requirements.

  • Leads post-phase and post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across the account.

  • Supports MAP and pull planning sessions; provides support for phase planning and Short Interval Planning (SIP); prepares schedules and supporting inputs for Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) and Planning Risk Workshops; and documents the overall planning, sequencing, and risk mitigation approach in the schedule management plan.

Secondary Responsibilities

The Sr. Lead Planner & Scheduler is actively engaged across the full Crusoe campus lifecycle, with a priority focus on front-end planning. The following outlines specific role expectations for early campus planning efforts:

  • Align with Crusoe on key milestones, project attributes, and schedule basis assumptions.

  • Communicate schedules, BOS reports, and visual deliverables to campus team and account leadership.

  • Coordinate field planner alignment across campus teams to ensure schedule logic reflects field intentions.

  • Engage the visual planning team for site logistics plans and flow-of-work maps.

  • Engage trades including Family of Companies (FoC) for scope, crew, and duration input.

  • Build schedule from templates with standard WBS and LBS structure consistent with account coding.

GMP Schedule Development  —  Develop iGMP / fGMP's

  • Develop and update the iGMP and fGMP project schedule from the established lease schedule baseline.

  • Document Basis of Schedule (BOS) assumptions and produce Critical Reports including milestone narratives.

  • Create visual controls for site logistics, sequence, and overall campus flow.

  • Integrate Crusoe template requirements and align with Crusoe reporting systems.

  • Develop production flow and benchmark assumptions for key scope areas and SPW.

  • Engage trade partners and align on sequencing, crew assumptions, handoffs, and contractual commitments.

  • Capture all critical integrations: Design packages, Procurement (OFCI), EHS / HRAs, Commissioning, and DPR FoC.

  • Validate schedule logic with campus planning leads and field superintendents prior to baseline.

Handoff to Program or JV Schedule Lead  —  Onboard and Transfer Ownership

  • Onboard program or JV scheduler to DPR system, schedule structure, WBS and LBS conventions.

  • Support Crusoe integrations and align DPR reporting with program-level reporting requirements.

  • Support weekly schedule updates as needed during the transition period.

  • Support weekly reporting cadence with the program team to ensure continuity.

  • Document schedule basis, open assumptions, constraints, and identified risks for the incoming schedule lead.

  • Facilitate a structured handoff of WBS, LBS, milestone commitments, and DPR scope responsibilities.

  • Ensure continuity of the constraint log and roadblock management process across the transition.

Mobilize  —  Field Execution Begins

  • Transition campus schedule ownership to the site planning team with documented handoff package.

  • Ensure the Schedule Management Plan (SMP) is active and aligned with the field execution plan.

  • Confirm P6 update workflow and reporting cadence are operational and understood by the campus team.

  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to the campus scheduler as needed throughout execution.
