Senior Materials Laboratory Technician (Concrete)

NOVA Engineering is currently seeking a Senior Materials Laboratory Technician for our Tallahassee, FL location. For this position the individual will be providing quality assurance/quality control lab testing duties for commercial, retail, educational, low to high-rise, manufacturing, and government construction projects.

Job Duties:

• Perform tests on concrete and construction materials to determine its physical and engineering properties.
• Prepare concrete samples for testing according to ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and project-specific standards.
• Accurately record test results and maintain detailed documentation.
• Ensure testing equipment is calibrated and maintained in good working condition.
• Monitor and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Compile test data into comprehensive reports and communicate findings to project managers and engineers.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of laboratory experience in a construction materials testing environment (soil and concrete) is required

Preferred Certifications:

• ACI Strength Testing Technician Level 1
• ACI Aggregate Testing Technician Level 1
• ACI Aggregate Base Testing Technician
