SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Senior Project Engineer Diver position has responsibility and accountability for coordination and completion of assigned technical activities on assigned projects. To fulfill these obligations, the Senior Project Engineer Divers must: plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assigned engineering work; monitor work for compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and internal procedures and standards; and ensure effective communication and coordination between required disciplines and other project participants.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Directs and/or performs field inspection and evaluation of structures in compliance with established procedures and standards.

  • Directs and/or performs testing of materials, interprets test results, and incorporates results into reports to ensure project specification compliance.

  • Directs and/or performs complex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices.

  • Directs and/or performs the preparation of comprehensive engineering documents including inspection reports, design plans and specifications.

  • Directs and supervises the work of project engineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staff.

  • Actively participates in internal and external project meetings and works to actively resolve project issues.

  • Assists with project planning, scheduling, forecasting and quality.

  • Assists with client management, proposal preparation, project scoping and estimating project costs.

  • Actively promotes a safe work culture.

YOU WILL NEED


  • Good technical knowledge, experience, and capabilities in area of practice.

  • Good proficiency in computer assisted engineering and office software and equipment.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in the English language.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelor's degree and/or master’s degree in civil, structural or ocean engineering from an accredited four-year university.

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Professional Engineer (PE)

  • ADCI Commercial Diver

  • Valid US Driver’s License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, WORK ENVIRONMENT & SAFETY

The duties of this position require the employee to regularly sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. This position may require the employee to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While in the field, the employee may be required to walk in rugged conditions, work in adverse weather conditions, and stand up to eight hours or more at a time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the required duties of this position.


This position requires maintaining current industry knowledge and expertise through active involvement in professional organizations and/or other activities that may require additional and/or flexible working hours. The ability and availability to readily work overtime and perform duties outside of normal working hours may be required to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.

COMPENSATION

Pay range is $91,520.00 - $$110,240.00 annually for positions filled in Utah.
