Mesa is actively growing our commercial nuclear division to provide increased capability for support of nuclear generation, to support this strategic plan we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the commercial portfolio of projects.  This position will serve as the primary point of contact with the customer and will be responsible for the successful execution of contracted engineering, design, and construction phase services for projects across multiple commercial nuclear plants.

Typical duties will include responsible for client interface and business development on assigned projects, proposal support for new solicitations, building relationships that foster partnership and lead to growing opportunities, typical project management duties including monitoring and reporting project metrics (SPI, CPI, EV, etc.), profitability reporting, staffing oversight and mentorship, schedule and progress control, quality, safety, and status reporting.  This position will coordinate, and plan activities associated with engineering, procurement, construction phase services on commercial nuclear projects to ensure execution in accordance with customer and Mesa processes and procedures. 

A strong background in leading and developing teams is needed to support the coaching mentorship and development of a diverse team knowledgeable to meet tomorrow’s demand for delivery of the nuclear promise.

Requirements:

• BS degree in a technical related field (industrial, engineering, etc.).
• Strong background in team leadership, mentoring, and development.
• Position requires excellent problem solving and communication skills and ability to interface with internal team under a matrixed organization and with customers.
• Strong background in overseeing engineering modifications development through installation, with experience interfacing with implementation vendors and customers.
• 15 years’ experience in managing diverse teams with at least 8 years directly associated with engineering and design projects for commercial nuclear plants.
• Experience working with multiple nuclear utilities is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access to operational and construction nuclear plants and sites.
• PMP certification or MBA is desirable (will be required to obtain PMP within 1 year of employment).
• Position Location: Knoxville TN (relocation not provided)
• Position Type: Hybrid Remote- Requires work from office but can be hybrid with at least three days in office at either the Knoxville or Chattanooga locations; must be able to travel to plant sites on a regular basis (approx. 6-8 days per month).
