Do you have experience as a Senior Specifications Writer in the engineering, construction, or architecture environment? If so, we’d love to hear from you.


We are seeking an experienced Specifications Writer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality design and construction documentation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, coordinating, and managing detailed project specifications, ensuring alignment with design intent, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with architects, and engineers to identify and document appropriate building materials, assemblies, and systems

  • Prepare comprehensive project specifications and manuals using established master specification content

  • Provide technical input and guidance throughout the design process and during construction

  • Support project teams during construction administration with specification-related reviews and responses

  • Conduct product research, analysis, and comparative evaluations

  • Assist with technical problem-solving and detailing as needed

  • Contribute to quality control efforts related to documentation and specifications

Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience) - Advantage

  • 10+ years as a specifications writer

  • VisiSpecs - Advantage

  • Architect License/Certificates - Advantage
