Responsible for the monitoring of Overhaul turbine test operations and test results, the resolution of engine performance, combustion, or rotor dynamic issues. Perform engine operational tuning and approval of test data including generation of certified test reports. Troubleshoot and resolve test facility and turbine engine operational issues using advanced lean practices, high speed data acquisition systems, PLC systems, 6Sigma and other process improvement practices.  Responsible for outlining and overseeing test systems upgrades to accommodate new products or replace obsolete equipment. Works in a team that includes Test Technicians and Metrology with goals of meeting safety and quality goals. This position is also a primary source of technical training to Test Technicians and peer Test Engineers.

Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

  • Promotes workplace safety among leadership and co-workers. Assists in improving test cell safety and processes.

  • Utilizes data-based decision making

  • Able to read, write and explain PLC logic and Human Machine Interfaces

  • Can troubleshoot and perform equipment vibration analysis

  • Capable of managing multiple complex issues

  • Documents and provide training to assist team members

  • Must be a proactive self-starter with strong communication skills who gets along well with others and demonstrates a high sense of urgency when needed

  • Able to read engineering drawings, technical manuals, and understand system design intent

  • Familiar with Quality Management Systems

  • Willing to work on 3rd shift

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Gas turbine performance testing

  • Lean manufacturing

  • Six Sigma training

  • Customer service experience

Summary Pay Range:

$108,834.00 - $163,252.00
