The Neurosurgical Service & Repair Technician is responsible for the troubleshooting, service, repair, and maintenance of designated electronic and/or mechanical medical equipment in the most efficient manner and adhering to established quality standards. This person may work with the site engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, including the complaint department, to perform product failure evaluations and diagnostics. The individual will also be responsible for complying with all local and global policies and procedures.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Primary responsibilities are to:

  • Must be able to work independently as well as under direct supervision.
  • Document all service activities in Oracle
  • Must be able to safely and properly use and operate repair tooling and test equipment.
  • Complete repair of all customer products within designated repair cycle times.
  • Perform & execute all repairs in accordance with training, local and global SOP’s
  • Perform other duties as required by the business.
  • Strive to maintain a safe work environment in accordance with regulations
  • Willingness to work in a team environment
  • Constantly seek ways to improve the Customer Support processes
  • Manage assigned work and repair priorities
  • Collaborate and work with other functions on product / repair complaints – Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality
  • Promptly complete all required service and repair documentation or Oracle entries during the repair process and in an accurate and efficient manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for his position.
  • Education:  
  • Minimum two (2) year degree in Biomedical technology, Electrical or Electronics technology.
  • Associate degree or Certification from a technical / trade school
  • Experience: 
  • Minimum2 + years medical or electronic equipment repair and testing.
  • Related technical repair work experience will be considered
  • Demonstrated technical troubleshooting aptitude
  • Computer skills required - Oracle skills a plus
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal & written
  • Experience in the medical field a plus
  • Ability to work in team environment / service environment required

Salary Pay Range:

$22.79 - $30.77 USD Hourly

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by several factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for bonus, commission, equity or other variable compensation.
