Seeking a Shop Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Gainesville, FL.
This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k with an employer contribution!
Pay is between $25 - $30 per hour (based on experience)
The Shop Mechanic will provide complete equipment support for the shop and field operations.
Responsibilities:
- Performs all maintenance on equipment assigned by the supervisor.
- Performs diesel engines troubleshooting and repairs.
- Performs regular inspections to identify and correct equipment malfunctions.
- Perform modifications and repairs to field and shop equipment.
- Performs hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
- Advises supervisor of parts purchases.
- Maintains work orders on all work performed and keeps Supervisor actively updated on status of work.
- Assists superintendents with field equipment problems.
- Travels to job locations to complete scheduled or unscheduled equipment maintenance.
- Assists in the final inspection for all equipment before loading for transportation to a jobsite.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in equipment maintenance
- Valid Florida Driver's License.
- Forklift Certified.
- Must own and maintain all tools required for the job.
