Job descriptions:
The Site Superintendent is responsible for the overall management crew members. This includes planning and scheduling work, assigning tasks, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in pipe laying and a strong understanding of construction safety procedures. The Site Superintendent also maintains accurate records of materials, equipment, and labor hours, conducts regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications, and provides regular updates and reports to the Project Manager and other members of the construction team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors and other workers on the construction site, ensuring that they are following all safety regulations and procedures.
- Ensure that all workers are properly trained and equipped to use construction equipment and tools.
- Overseeing the purchase and delivery of materials and equipment
- Monitor construction progress and identify and resolve any issues or delays that could impact safety or the project schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment, and labor hours, including tracking the use of hazardous materials.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications, including all applicable safety regulations.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Project Manager and other members of the construction team, including status updates, risk assessments, and recommendations for improvement.
Required:
- At least 5 years of experience in construction site supervision;
- bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related would-be a plus.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency with project management software and tools (preferred)
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Use construction equipment and tools.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
