EHC Construction is an employee-owned company seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join our team as Labor/Roller Operator. This role involves supporting various road construction and maintenance activities while ensuring the safety and efficiency of operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform physical labor, including digging, shoveling, and lifting heavy materials.
- Prepare new construction sites by digging, moving dirt, or compacting space.
- Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
- Experience as a roller, water truck and any other require equipment to complete the assigned job.
- Direct traffic safely around the construction or road maintenance site.
- Use construction and maintenance tools and equipment to complete daily tasks.
- Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment
- Ensure regulated and proper headgear, ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses, and clothing are worn
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Prepare new construction sites by digging, moving dirt, or compacting space.
- Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly
- Assist equipment foreman, operators, and other skilled labor when necessary
- Operate the roller proficiently, safely, and efficiently to support construction operations.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings while operating the Loader on public or private roadways.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed to support project requirements.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous experience operating preferred.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
