Job Duties:
Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
Develop and support applications for Web-based platforms on Object-Oriented Design and Analysis standards. Solutions implementation from cloud-first thinking using Agile, Scrum, automated tests, and behavior-driven development. Configure project sites to host BIM data (if applicable) or other equitable platforms. Deliver code using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) best practices and DevOps to production. Collaborate cross-functionally with front-end software engineers, data scientists, project/construction managers, and business users to achieve business transformation. Create and understand the API architecture and cloud infrastructure, and plan to automate processes using modern API technologies and API authentication. Use graduate-level knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, and TypeScript for developing and maintaining complex front-end applications. Utilize advanced knowledge of construction workflows, processes, applications, and project management tools. Utilize advanced knowledge of integrating BIM/Virtual Design Construction, Scheduling, and Estimating tools and technologies. Create data models and understand dependencies between source systems. Leverage web services to streamline the access and transfer of data between systems.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a construction engineering-related occupation.

Special Requirements:
Position requires at least 3 years of experience in each of the following skills:
Utilize AutoCAD, IFC, and other BIM and parametric design applications to ensure accurate and efficient design and modeling of construction projects. Interface with Project Controls Teams for construction, scheduling, asset acquisition, and cost control, including aligning Work Breakdown Structure, cost tracking, data entry, value tracking, and associated BIM parameters. Collaborate cross-functionally with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve business goals and deliver effective software solutions. Plan, implement, monitor, and complete projects to ensure effective management of scope, resources, time, cost, quality, risk, and communications for construction projects.
Position also requires at least one (1) semester of graduate-level coursework or at least some experience in each of the following skills:
Use tools like MATLAB and Mathematica for problem-solving and analysis in numerical modeling and computational techniques. Utilize JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, and TypeScript for developing and maintaining complex front-end applications. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and work with modern API technologies and authentication methods to ensure seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems. Leverage hands-on experience with CI/CD practices and tools, including automated testing and deployment processes, to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of software products.
