Only candidates with working experience in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (A.E.C) industries will be considered

We are looking for experienced Specifications Writers to lead the development of clear, accurate, and comprehensive technical and product specifications. This role is critical in ensuring that requirements are well-documented, aligned with business goals, and easily understood by cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and stakeholders.

Model: Fully onsite (multiple locations)

Scope: Fully employed

Salary: In line with experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with architects, and engineers to identify and document appropriate building materials, assemblies, and systems

  • Prepare comprehensive project specifications and manuals using established master specification content

  • Provide technical input and guidance throughout the design process and during construction

  • Support project teams during construction administration with specification-related reviews and responses

  • Conduct product research, analysis, and comparative evaluations

  • Assist with technical problem-solving and detailing as needed

  • Contribute to quality control efforts related to documentation and specifications

Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience) - advantage

  • 10+ years as a specifications writer (to be considered for senior role)

  • 3+ years as a specifications or technical writer (to be considered for intermediate role)

  • Familiarity with specification management software is beneficial
