Schedule: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $24–$30/hour (based on experience)

Overview

Allied Fire Protection is seeking a motivated and dependable Sprinkler Construction Fitter to join our growing team in Houston, TX.

This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the fire protection industry while gaining hands-on experience installing and maintaining sprinkler systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You’ll work alongside experienced foremen in a supportive, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist foreman with installation, service, and troubleshooting of fire sprinkler systems
  • Support installation across residential, commercial, and industrial job sites
  • Learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layouts
  • Perform hands-on tasks such as pipe threading, grooving, cutting rods, and hanging pipe
  • Safely operate tools, lifts, ladders, and other job equipment
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
  • Follow all safety procedures and report incidents as required
  • Complete timesheets and assist with material and inventory tracking
  • Support maintenance of tools, trucks, and equipment
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Work overtime, travel, or be on-call as needed


Requirements

Must Have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
  • Comfortable with physical labor, climbing ladders, and working in various environments
  • Ability to read measurements accurately (tape measure/scales)
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability

Nice to Have:

  • 1+ year of experience in fire sprinkler systems or construction-related roles
  • Familiarity with blueprints and construction layouts
  • Experience using hand and power tools
