Caesars Entertainment is looking for a Senior Construction Controls Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Construction Controls, the Sr. Construction Controls Analyst will be responsible for helping to manage the financial components of construction project, including project set up, tracking, reporting, maintenance, and close out. They will also provide support to the Design & Construction project managers as well as provide guidance to Construction Controls Analysts team to ensure real time accurate reporting of the projects financial status including budget, costs to date, commitments issued and estimated final costs at completion.
Essential Job Functions:
• Collection, analysis, and documentation of projects’ financial information using the job cost system.
• Provide analysis to project managers on impacts of potential change orders against contracts and budget.
• Proactively identify issues, including critically analyzing project financial trends.
• Review project costs against commitments issued and approved budgets.
• Review contracts, including change orders and purchase orders for accuracy and adherence to contract terms and process for execution.
• Review all hard cost invoices and contractor payment applications for adherence to contract terms and process for payment.
• Prepare project financial reports as required for regulatory or management reporting purposes.
• Prepare funding requests and provide financial information to lending institutions.
• Capture and maintain contractor information for WBE/MBE reporting.
• Support contractor audits as required.
Qualification Requirements:
A successful candidate would possess the following qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferred in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction accounting/controls.
• Familiarity with project accounting best practices and systems / applications.
• Detail oriented, critical thinker with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to oversee the preparation of accurate accounting information for multiple projects in a timely manner.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with Oracle general ledger system and construction management job cost systems is a plus.
