Falkenberg Construction is seeking a motivated and experienced Superintendent to oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for project schedules, quality control, safety management, material procurement, and daily reporting. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Project Schedule Management:
    • Maintain a 3-week look-ahead schedule and daily workflow updates.
    • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and inspections to ensure efficient progress.
  • Jobsite Quality Management:
    • Oversee the quality of work performed by subcontracting crews, vendors, and self-performing teams.
    • Ensure all work meets or exceeds project specifications and standards.
  • Safety Management:
    • Ensure the job site remains safe and compliant at all times.
    • Enforce PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements and safety protocols.
  • Materials Procurement:
    • Order materials in a timely manner and track delivery/receiving of project materials.
    • Coordinate and manage material logistics to avoid delays.
  • Daily Reporting:
    • Document daily activities, progress, and updates using web-based applications.
    • Provide accurate written and photo documentation of job site conditions and work progress.

The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressively increasing responsibility as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
  • Leadership: Confident self-starter with proven problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Relationships: Track record of building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.
