Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR), a Fortune 500 company, is one of the largest professional services firms, providing engineering, procurement, construction, fabrication and modularization, commissioning and maintenance, as well as project management services, on a global basis. Fluor's Corporate Tax Department is seeking a Tax Analyst III at the Company's headquarters office located in Irving, Texas.
The purpose of this position has the overall objective of enhancing shareholder value by reducing taxes through effective tax planning strategies and defense of these strategies while ensuring the Company conducts its affairs with knowledge of and in conformity with applicable tax laws. This position will be involved in the more complex assignments (returns, provision, and research).
• Assist in preparing the Consolidated Federal income tax return, Forms 5471, Partnership and state returns.
• Maintain knowledge & proficiency in current federal and state income tax laws and regulations.
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly and year-end ASC 740 financial reporting; Reconcile deferred tax schedules.
• Assist in gathering information, researching tax issues, and drafting formal responses to federal and state audit requests.
• Other duties as assigned• Accredited 4-yr degree in accounting or related field
• 4 or more years of relevant federal and state income tax experience in public accounting and/or large multinational company• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Juris Doctor Law (JD) certification or global equivalent required
• Master of Science in Taxation (MST) and/or Master of Laws (LLM) degree or global equivalent
• Two (2) years reviewing/preparing consolidated tax returns
• High critical thinking/reasoning ability
Experience in partnership taxation and Form 5471 filings• Proficient in MS Office software
• Experience with tax compliance and provision software such as OneSource Income Tax, Tax Stream or Corp Tax
• Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems
• Demonstrate the ability to work in a complex environment in areas including, but not limited to:
