Position Description:

The Technology Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for constructability reviews, consultation, project management and coordinating with clients on technology projects and multi-discipline projects that include technology.  The TPM is the subject matter expert with Division 27 and 28 low voltage systems to integrate technology scopes of work projects.  

 

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; or four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Minimum five (5) years industry experience coordinating low voltage technology projects including the listed skills and abilities:
    • OSP/ISP in Data Center environments
    • Microduct pathway tugging installation
    • Fiber optics installation pulling, tugging and jetting
    • Fiber optics termination, splicing and testing
    • Project scheduling proficiency in Oracle Primavera, Oracle Primavera Cloud or equivalent
    • OSHA 30 training certificate
    • Confined space training certificate
  • Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in services, construction, maintenance and operations contracts. 
  • Communicate issues effectively in written format.  
  • Must be able to function as part of a high-performance team. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in mobile work environment. 
  • Software proficiency in MS Office 365 (Excel, Project, Word, SharePoint) and Adobe Suite) and report writing applications. 
  • Communication includes both verbal and written skills.  Must be able to communicate effectively with other tradesmen as well as peers, supervisors, and customers.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • RCDD, CCNA, CCDA, RTPM certification or combination thereof.  

 

Essential Duties:

  • Coordinate technology related designed and construction efforts to meet the company’s constructability, quality, financial and technical standards.
  • Work with technical and subject matter experts to support and prepare system documentation in accordance with company guidelines and philosophies. 
  • Provide technical expertise related to design assist, installation network integration of complete and related system which includes, but is not limited to the following:
    • Structured Cabling, Pathways & Cable Tray (voice/data, racks/frames, cabling/cable management & connections, etc.)
    • Voice & Data Communications Systems (dictation, intercom, telephone, etc.)
    • Audio Visual Communication Systems
    • Electronic/Video Surveillance Systems
    • Electronic Monitoring & Control Systems
    • LAN/WAN and Wireless Systems (including IP systems integration
    • Nurse Call Systems
    • Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS)
    • Building Automation Systems (BAS), Fire Alarm and other network systems.
  • Manage technology consulting process between company and clients/owners.
  • Budget management and staff projections related to projects.
  • Serve as a technology resource for the company.
  • Market Integrated Building Solutions services to procure projects.
  • Develop, test, and sell new technology concepts to clients/owners.

 

Physical Work Classification & Demands:

  • Light Work. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • The individual in this position will periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type. The frequency of each action varies by workflow and office activity.
  • Walking - The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, boxes, cabinets, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, phone, computer, and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and external stakeholders regarding a variety of topics related to office administration.
  • Constantly computes, analyzes, and conceptualizes mathematical calculations and formulas.
  • Constantly reads written communications and views email submissions.
  • The person in this position regularly sits in a stationary position in front of a computer screen.
  • Visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle as certified and appropriate.
  • Rarely exposed to high and low temperatures 
  • Rarely exposed to noisy environments and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
