Technical Evangelist

 

Position Overview The Technical Evangelist is responsible for bridging the gap between our technical capabilities and our internal teams, clients, and broader market. This role translates complex technical solutions into clear, practical value, drives adoption, and builds credibility through expertise, communication, and hands-on engagement.

Responsibilities

Technical Advocacy & Communication

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for our services, systems, and capabilities
  • Translate technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Represent the company in internal meetings, client discussions, and industry settings

Internal Enablement

  • Partner with Operations, Preconstruction, and Safety to ensure alignment on technical approaches and best practices
  • Support training initiatives (field teams, PMs, leadership) to drive consistency and capability
  • Contribute to development programs (ex: Moss Built, onboarding, leadership training)

Client & Market Engagement

  • Support Business Development by clearly articulating technical value during pursuits and client meetings
  • Build trust with clients by demonstrating deep understanding of execution, risk, and solutions
  • Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in the market and bring them back to leadership

Content & Thought Leadership

  • Develop technical content (presentations, case studies, training materials, videos)
  • Share insights that position the company as a leader in the industry
  • Support recruiting and branding efforts by showcasing real-world expertise

Continuous Improvement

  • Gather feedback from the field and clients to improve processes, standards, and delivery
  • Help standardize best practices across projects and teams
  • Stay current on industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in utilities, construction, engineering, or related field
  • Strong technical knowledge of underground utilities, site development, or infrastructure work
  • Proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and confidently
  • Experience working across field operations and project management teams
  • Strong presence and credibility with both field leaders and executives
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
