Principal Duties and Responsibilities:- Create and maintain documentation such as business process workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety manuals, stages of cleanroom protocols, and construction process documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, safety officers, and field staff to gather technical information.
- Develop and document optimal Business Process steps throughout the entire project lifecycle, including process inputs and outputs.
- Translate complex construction terminology and procedures into accessible content for diverse audiences.
- Ensure all documentation complies with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Encapsulate the construction document control process to comply with the company documentation requirements.
- Maintain version control and update documentation as standards, tools, or regulations evolve.
- Support the Project Manager to schedule and drive process reviews and document acceptance by the technical experts and project stakeholders.
- Design and deliver training programs for field crews, site supervisors, and office staff on topics such as defined business process requirements, safety compliance, construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD), and other relevant company procedures.
- Develop training materials including manuals, presentations, e-learning modules, and hands-on workshops.
- Conduct onboarding sessions for new hires and refresher courses for existing employees.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
- Stay current with industry best practices and incorporate them into training content.
Requirements:- 3+ years of experience in technical writing and/or training within the construction or engineering industry.
- Familiarity with construction terminology, safety standards (e.g., OSHA), and project workflows.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with documentation and training tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, LMS platforms, Articulate, Camtasia).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Set up on-site meetings with technical experts to gather information, conduct an independent work effort to develop the work product, and organize review sessions for process approvals.
Preferred:- Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, BIM 360, ACC).
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
