The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is seeking a Temporary Construction Worker in Afton, Wyoming. Under supervision, this position performs basic construction tasks on and for the highway system.

Other local attractions include the Intermittent Springs, CallAir Museum, and the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Museum. Afton is also home to Cutter/Chariot Racing and the Snowmobile Hill Climb Challenge in the winter, and the Lincoln County Fair in the summer. Outdoor enthusiasts have a variety of activities to choose from - fishing, hiking, and camping. A leisurely day can also be enjoyed by visiting the many charming shops and restaurants in Afton. Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
This is an entry-level position that requires no prior training or experience.
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of materials testing.
Knowledge of surveying methods and equipment operation.
Knowledge of construction inspection, which includes interpretation of plans and specifications.
Skill in the use of computers.
Strong math skills required.
Ability to perform algebraic calculations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Necessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must have the ability to lift to 50 pounds.
This position requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Individuals must be available to work at any time, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
