Position Overview
Walker White Mechanical is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to support daily operations by transporting materials, equipment, and supplies to job sites throughout the Columbia area and surrounding regions. A valid CDL (Class A or B) is preferred, but strong candidates without a CDL may be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company trucks to deliver and pick up materials, tools, and equipment
- Load and unload items using proper lifting techniques and safety procedures
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Assist warehouse or field teams as needed
- Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and job-site safety standards
- Represent Walker White Mechanical with professionalism and excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required; CDL (Class A or B) strongly preferred
- Clean driving record with the ability to pass MVR and background checks
- Previous experience operating flatbeds, box trucks, or similar vehicles a plus
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in warehouse or job‑site conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Knowledge of construction materials or mechanical/HVAC parts is a plus (not required)
