POSITION SUMMARY: The Virtual Construction Engineer is responsible for supporting project teams by developing virtual construction content for project pursuits and helping execute the plan for virtual construction during the design and construction phases of a project.   MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:   Project Pursuits Develop visuals and content to depict proposed project sequencing and logistics Develop VDC content for proposals and interviews   Preconstruction / Design Phase Assist in the development of project specific plans for virtual construction Review, analyze, and help facilitate coordination of design team models Document existing conditions via laser scanning, drones, and 360 photo documentation Create virtual reality and augmented reality experiences for project teams to assist in the communication, clarification, and coordination of project scope Continue development of advanced visuals for project sequencing and logistics Assist in the planning and execution of our Underground Utility Damage Prevention program Develop working relationships with design teams   Construction Phase Participate in and lead model-based MEP Coordination and Building Enclosure Coordination Ensure work as coordinated can be installed and meets safety and quality standards Capture and analyze jobsite progress via laser scanning, drones, and 360 photo documentation Ensure virtual construction plan is being executed properly on projects by making site visits as needed Align virtual construction related schedules with project schedules to ensure timely results Develop working relationships with trade partners   Department Ensure work as coordinated can be installed and meets safety and quality standards Assist in the development and execution of the company's BIM related goals and initiatives Recommend and provide new and innovative solutions to complex problems through the use of technology Develop working relationships with other integrated service team members (safety, quality, preconstruction, high performance) to ensure streamlined and coordinated approach to supporting our projects     POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor’s degree in BIM, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field Approximately 0-3 years' experience preferred with a General Contractor in the field of construction Experience with and knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Navisworks Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Detail oriented
