The ideal candidate for this position is responsible for managing the performance of all Process Technology activities across all disciplines in conformance with plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates and may oversee large, complex projects.
• Manage and direct Process Technology work activities to execute Fluor’s scope of work according to contract requirements
• Lead teams of engineers to develop drawings and specifications for study, feasibility, Front End Engineering Development (FEED), and Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction (EPFC) phase project definition and/or execution
• Prepare design margin tables to support Value Improvement Practice
• Provide assistance and technical direction to support both Fluor and client business and project development goals
• Develop departmental support programs and procedures
• Establish and maintain effective communications with engineering disciplines and project management
• Other duties as assigned• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and eighteen (18) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner• 7 - 10 years of welding/fabrication experience with at least 5 years of employee lead responsibilities.
• Possess the desire and ability to mentor/coach and train new employees to elevate overall team throughput and competence.
• Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.
Possess strong organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbal and written.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Accredited four (4) year degree in Welding Engineering or similar field or coursework
• Non-destructive Examinations (NDE's) experience
• Material Science Experience Preferred
• Mechanical Engineering Experience Preferred
• Five to Seven (5-7) years of related Quality/project management and process development experience
• Experience with Nuclear industry welding and NDE
• Department of Energy project experience
