Job Overview:
S&W Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Welding Project Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in the early phases of our foundational construction and welding projects-analyzing plans, developing accurate estimates, walking projects, and crafting compelling proposals. - Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to understand job scope and complexity
- Perform job walks to evaluate field conditions and generate accurate labor and material takeoffs
- Develop detailed project estimates, covering a wide range of welding and foundational construction work
- Create thorough and persuasive writeups for bid submissions and customer proposals
- Phase out awarded projects for a smooth transition to operations and field teams
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to pursue new opportunities and support the bidding process
- Maintain organized and clear documentation for all estimates and bid activity
- 4+ years of commercial construction experience (required)
- Strong background in estimating construction/welding projects
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs, and scope documentation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing work
- Project management experience (preferred)
- Associate or Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Base salary of $65,000 - $75,000 DOE
- Commission on awarded work
- Weekly pay cycle
- 90-day probation period followed by eligibility for a company work truck
- Truck allowance during probation period
