JOB OPENING – Vice President Construction
ABOUT KCG CONSTRUCTION:
KCG Construction, LLC (KCG) is a General Contractor and Construction Management company, firmly
rooted in traditional values in the relentless pursuit of creating long term, sustainable homes and
communities. KCG’s projects are primarily multifamily apartment complexes and mixed‐use
developments across the country.
The Vice President of Construction has the responsibility for overseeing the planning and execution of all
Construction projects, whether new construction, renovation or expansion of existing projects in
support of the company’s current and future operations.
Reports to:
President of Construction
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership to the construction department.
Assemble, organize and oversee a team of construction professionals in support of the business
Identify innovative ideas that enhance the quality of, decrease the cost of, and reduce time of
completing construction projects.
Ensure uniform quality, schedule and budgets for all construction projects for the company.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations
Be the liaison, communicator and facilitator between all parties such as developer, owner
architects engineers and construction staff
Conduct regular senior level meetings with all parties to communicate project status and
proactively seek feedback.

Maintain and communicate budget, cost estimates and cost to complete information in a
complete and timely fashion on all projects to team members throughout the duration of the
project. Document budget and schedule variances to principle client and management.
Builds and maintains historical cost data information.
Reviews estimates based on a practical understanding of design, constructability, logistics,
sequencing and means and methods of a project.
The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of construction methods, and
problem solving skills; good communication skills; and be organized, efficient and responsive to
deadlines.
Competencies:
Strong analytical and logic skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of precision on
assigned responsibilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities prioritizes his or her responsibilities
accordingly depending on volume of work.
Must be highly proficient with interpreting plans and specifications.
Able to work as a team leader to motivate in a high energy and sense of urgency environment.
Qualifications:
Degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
15 + years in leading teams in the construction industry
Possess good organizational and management skills, and strong verbal and written
communication skills.
Possess the ability to estimate all aspects of a commercial construction project, assemble into
one budget, and present to owners.
Must be able to view things from a construction business owner’s perspective and present
accordingly.
Strong computer skills, including the ability to utilize construction geared software, scheduling,
bid management, online plan rooms and database applications.
