SUMMARY:
The Department of Engineering & Technology at East Texas A&M University is seeking applicants for a 9-month tenure track Assistant Professor of Construction Engineering faculty position. Faculty at East Texas A&M University are expected to engage in scholarly activities, and contribute service to their discipline, the university, and the community. Faculty are also required to advise students and to interact with local business/industry related to their discipline. Teaching assignments will be from a wide range of construction engineering, construction management, and technology management topics with more focus on construction management courses. Faculty are expected to have current professional knowledge of the construction engineering and related fields.. This position has a desired start date of Fall 2025.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Teach undergraduate courses including but not limited to Construction Planning and Scheduling; Construction Accounting and Financial Management; Sustainability; Computer Aided Design; Engineering Management, and technology management courses.
•Disseminate knowledge through presentations and publications
•Actively seek and attract extramural funding and industry funded partnerships
•Establish a network within the regional industries
•Advise and mentor undergraduate students
•Actively engage and work cooperatively with faculty within the Department of Engineering & Technology
•Serve on selected departmental, college, and university committees
•Participate in all aspects of the department’s activities
