Join a dynamic aftermarket team with growth opportunities.  The gas compressor overhaul and restage group in Mabank assists in overhauling and restaging Solar’s centrifugal gas compressors.  With a total population of more than 4,500 gas compressors installed worldwide and a wealth of experience gained while restaging 2,700+ compressors, Solar is uniquely positioned to offer these services.

What you will do:

Complete mid to high-level assignments related to routine refurbishment, modification, and rework of Solar centrifugal gas compressors.

• Responsible for all activities involved in the compressor assembly/disassembly process including test support to a predetermined schedule.
• Must have a positive attitude and ability to work closely and effectively with internal and external customers.
• Must be dependable with the willingness to work overtime and weekends.
• Specific assignments will require incumbent to work in a team environment and provide back-up support to team members and other teams.

• Perform compressor preparation work
• Perform compressor prep and build
• Installation of all devices and components per engineering drawings
• Responsible for following Solar Quality Assurance Standards (QAS) Engineering Specifications (ES) and compressor planning during assembly process.
• Identify root cause of issues during production and document issues
• Installation of test equipment and support during testing of compressor
• Support of compressor shipment and rigging
• Follow all safety and environment practices and report any unsafe conditions, broken and/or malfunctioning equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management

What you will have:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 2-5+ years of experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
• 1-3+ years of experience using precision measuring equipment.

What will set you apart:

• Vocational or trade school certification/degree in an aeronautical, mechanical, machine work or electrical discipline.
• Solar Turbines gas compressor experience.

Summary Pay Range:

$45,809.00 - $68,713.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
