What you will do:

  • Lead the execution and completion of projects/tasks supporting Operations
    driving sustainability to 5s in Operations by ensuring equipment and tooling remains organized, clearly labeled, clean, and in identified locations
  • Lead efforts to review 5S practices and participate in audits to ensure adherence to Lean principles
  • Gain knowledge and insights from subject matter experts (SME’s) to enhance project outcomes
  • Collaborate with the Operations teams on Lean 6sigma initiatives looking for potential green belt projects or kaizen event opportunities
  • Implement innovative ideas to improve processes and efficiency within Operations
  • Follow assigned tasks and demonstrate a proactive, self-starter attitude
  • Focus on safety driven opportunities to learn from normal work and improve processes
  • Support built-in quality (BIQ) activities and processes within the Operations teams to improve quality to our customers and the field

What you will have:

  • Prior experience or knowledge in Lean principles and methodologies preferred
  • Understanding of safety driven principles
  • Knowledge of built-in quality (BIQ) and corrective action processes
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to take ownership of tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements

Summary Pay Range:

$65,454.00 - $98,182.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
