We are seeking a Business Development Manager for our PCL Industrial Construction Co. District office located in Katy, TX.

 

As a Business Development Manager, you will contribute to our team by: 
 

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes strategic planning and objectives around client development and business growth
  • Proactively support our industrial group with business development needs
  • Develops and executes growth ideas and is continually learning and growing while understanding the business of PCL
  • Identifies, assess and recommends construction projects to pursue
  • Develops and implements strategies to ensure we are on the bid list
  • Develops relationships with key personnel in the municipalities, engineering firms and construction firms
  • Discusses opportunities with management and operations to discuss RFQ/Bid opportunities as it pertains to strategic goals
  • Monitors and evaluates business development activities, especially in relation to planned/targeted results and prepare associated reports/analysis for management 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years progressive leadership experience in the Downstream Refining and Petrochemical Capital Projects Industry  
  • Currently has a strong network within the downstream industry
  • Proven experience in business development; forming relationships with Owners
  • Demonstrated ability to secure new work and clients on large capital projects
  • Proven experience working in a team environment
  • A degree in a construction discipline or business is preferred
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships
  • Possesses a detailed knowledge of development, design and construction terminology with an understanding of construction and design systems and costs
  • Comfortable use of Microsoft Office software
  • Understands and abides by all industry and government processes and regulations
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Impeccable speaking, grammar and writing skills are required
  • Dedication and one who partners well but is independent minded to get opportunities going and ideas formulated
  • Connector and relator with others; strength on both sides as an impactful communicator and tremendous listener  
  • Strategic insight leader who is proficient in assessing the effectiveness of narratives/proposals
