WRS has an immediate opening for a Civil Construction Superintendent.  We're seeking a dependedable, self-driven leader with strong character and a solid work ethic. Candidates should have 10+ years experience in the civil construction.

Your Responsibilities



To work as part of the construction team to help schedule field manpower and equipment. Understand each project’s needs to give input as to where the best resources are needed the most. Provide mentorship and training to the field personnel when needed.  Address field issues and work with field staff to correct them.


  • Maintain full awareness of project schedules, scope, manpower, and equipment needs.
  • Coordinate with construction leadership to prioritize manpower and equipment across projects.
  • Develop and maintain 3-week look-ahead schedules; communicate needs with HR and the Equipment Manager.
  • Prepare written manpower and equipment schedules; collaborate with all WRS departments to ensure alignment.
  • Visit job sites regularly to assess work progress and ensure field accountability.
  • Supervise Foreman and field staff, providing guidance and holding them accountable for performance.
  • Delegate responsibilities to encourage independence while avoiding micromanagement unless directed otherwise.
  • Work closely with Construction Manager and HR on departmental personnel matters. 
  • Understand and enforce company and client safety standards.
  • Maintain and renew required certifications: Driver’s License, OSHA 30, TWIC, RSO, First Aid/CPR, Confined Space, Rigging, Trenching, Fall Protection, and site-specific credentials.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Excel, Word, HCSS, Heavy Job, and MS Project.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats, with individuals and groups.
  • Lead by example with professionalism, positivity, and alignment with WRS values and vision.
  • Represent WRS with professionalism in all customer and internal interactions
