Overview

Position PurposeThe Closing Coordinator must believe in, practice and initiate all Green Brick Partners values set forth in an acronym we call HOME. They must be Honest, Objective, Mature and Efficient in how he or she approaches their role at Green Brick Partners.

 

Act as liaison between sales, construction, lender, and closing attorney in effort to ensure homes close as scheduled.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and review all house files to ensure all data is accurate and documented for closing
  • Verify and confirm Settlement Statement and all supporting documents sent by closing attorney are complete and accurate
  • Update Newstar, Sales Report, and Permanent Closing Report daily with close date adjustments
  • Distribute Permanent Closing Report and Flash Reports to management team each week
  • Manage homeowner information database for warranty contact purposes
  • Update calendar and plat maps with sale and closing updates
  • Notify purchaser of critical finance deadlines
  • Order 2-10 warranty, termite bond, and land survey documentation for upcoming closings
  • Interact closely with management, sales agents, lenders, and closing attorney regarding closing information and process
  • Distribute information to utility companies as homes close to activate service in new owner’s name
  • Create closing package including keys, warranty, community and utility documents for all upcoming closings
  • Compile and submit all information to Guild Quality for homeowner closing and warranty surveys

Authority/Budget/Decision Making/Discretion and Independent Judgment Ability:

Communicate critical and pertinent information with management team in order to effectively plan and project for budgetary purposes.  Ability to recognize and address potential issues in a timely manner in order to ensure closing is met as scheduled.

 

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.  Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Degree preferred

Experience:

  • Experience and understanding of residential construction process preferred.

Competencies:

  • Strong communication and time management skills are required.
  • Attention to detail is imperative as reviewing sales contracts and closing paperwork is critical.
  • Ability to work well with sales, construction, and management teams is essential.
