The Construction Administrator is responsible for the coordination of day-to-day activities and providing complete support to Project Management and Superintendents with accurate and timely processing of client contracts, client billings, subcontracts, subcontract invoices and other necessary administrative duties required.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

Assist management in:

  • Implementation of management policies
  • Set up project files
  • Review contract requirements and specifications
  • Prepare, distribute and track subcontracts
  • Assist management in timely collection of payments
  • Enter and maintain commitments in accounting system
  • Enter budget adjustments in accounting system
  • Assist in month-end accounting process as needed
  • Maintain communication with field employees to meet office support needs
  • Ensure billing files are an accurate account of billings, receipts, and all related documentation for each construction project
  • Handling complaints, arbitrating disputes, or resolving grievances under the supervision of management
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills with all personnel levels, clients, and subcontractors
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, duties, and projects at once
  • Strong general computer skills including knowledge of MS Office products, and the ability to quickly learn trade-related accounting software

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of related experience, preferably in construction 

Physical Requirements:  

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
