Construction Crew Member

We are currently seeking dedicated, hardworking individuals to join our team as Construction Crew Members. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting construction projects by performing a variety of manual labor tasks. This position is ideal for entry-level candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry. Successful candidates will be physically fit, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with loading and unloading construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Set up and dismantle temporary structures, including scaffolding, barricades, and fencing.
• Perform demolition, excavation, and site-clearing tasks under the direction of skilled tradespeople.
• Assist with digging trenches, pouring concrete, and installing drainage systems.
• Clean and prepare work areas by removing debris, trash, and hazardous materials.
• Operate hand and power tools such as shovels, hammers, saws, and drills under supervision.
• Follow all company and job site safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and subcontractors to coordinate work activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.

Qualifications:

• Must Reside in Jim Wells County
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous construction or labor experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to work with construction tools and equipment.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform strenuous labor, including lifting and carrying heavy materials.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to attendance and punctuality.
• Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety practices is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
