DescriptionWe are currently seeking dedicated, hardworking individuals to join our team as Construction Crew Members. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting construction projects by performing a variety of manual labor tasks. This position is ideal for entry-level candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry. Successful candidates will be physically fit, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with loading and unloading construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Set up and dismantle temporary structures, including scaffolding, barricades, and fencing.
- Perform demolition, excavation, and site-clearing tasks under the direction of skilled tradespeople.
- Assist with digging trenches, pouring concrete, and installing drainage systems.
- Clean and prepare work areas by removing debris, trash, and hazardous materials.
- Operate hand and power tools such as shovels, hammers, saws, and drills under supervision.
- Follow all company and job site safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and subcontractors to coordinate work activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
QualificationsQualifications:
- Must Reside in Jim Wells County
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous construction or labor experience is preferred but not required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to work with construction tools and equipment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform strenuous labor, including lifting and carrying heavy materials.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to attendance and punctuality.
- Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety practices is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
