Construction Equipment Fleet Manager

ARIVA Group is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee and manage our commercial construction equipment and vehicle fleet. In addition to internal fleet operations, this role will also be responsible for developing external rental opportunities by offering our heavy machinery and equipment services to other construction companies.

 

This is an operational leadership role with a strong business development component.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Fleet & Operations Management

  • Oversee daily management of company fleet, including Bobcats, loaders, heavy machinery, trucks, and trailers
  • Track equipment usage, maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections
  • Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime
  • Coordinate equipment allocation across job sites
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company standards
  • Manage fleet-related expenses and documentation

 

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to rent/lease company equipment to external construction firms
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors and construction partners
  • Develop pricing strategies for equipment rental services
  • Negotiate rental agreements and service terms
  • Monitor market demand and expand fleet utilization revenue
  • Support revenue growth through strategic fleet deployment

 

 



Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in fleet management within commercial construction
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operations and maintenance
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management (construction industry preferred)
  • Ability to build relationships and negotiate contracts
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
