Construction Field Engineer

JOB PURPOSE:

We are looking for a dedicated Construction Field Engineer. This position reviews design and bidding documents, may generate RFPs, evaluates contractor bids, oversees construction progress and scheduling, and conducts field surveys/inspections for quantity verification and payments. Additionally, the Construction Field Engineer provides technical support to construction staff under the supervision of the Project Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Design and Bidding Document Review
• Daily Project Documentation
• Communication with the Project Team and Local Municipalities
• Enforce Compliance with Project Plans and Specifications
• Quantity Inspection/Verification
• Project Pay Application Review
• Project Layout and Construction Survey
• Project Closeout and As-built Documentation

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or Minimum 3 years of Related Work Experience
• Proficiency in Reading and Understanding Project Plans and Specifications
• Strong Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills
• Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team
• Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Understanding of Construction Industry Standards
• Ability to Work in Outdoor Environments
• Ability to work at our out of town projects
• Experience with Trimble GPS, Drones, and Mapping Software, Highly Desirable
• Salary: DOE
