Overview

Our internship program gives students real-world, hands-on exposure to heavy  highway construction. Interns work primarily in the field, setting grade,  operating equipment, and laboring alongside crews, while interacting closely with experienced employees, foremen and superintendents.


Key Features

  • Designed for students who are typically in their junior year of college (Civil/Construction  Engineering preferred).
  • Flexible schedules, typically during the summer (March–October)
  • Paid hourly, based on experience.
  • Recruiting takes place in the fall and spring.
  • Travel to work on project sites across Northwest Montana


Responsibilities

  • Support crews with grading, equipment, and labor tasks.
  • Assist with layout, surveying, and production tracking.
  • Contribute to safety and quality programs.
  • Develop your technical construction and interpersonal skills


Exposure Opportunities

  • Roadway & subdivision infrastructure, earthwork, paving, crushing, aggregate & concrete production, and high-profile projects (e.g., high-end golf course community)
