What You'll Do

The Construction Logistics Coordinator is a primary point of contact for subcontractors providing construction and services at Pantex.  Responsibilities include:

 

  • Gather and document subcontractor requests for Security Police Officer (SPO) escort and processing subcontractor access requests to facility managers to obtain approval for access to perform the contracted work, and capturing these requests in charts/reports to communicate the operations of the subcontracted work force.
  • Coordinate subcontractor hazardous material transport, certain high risk subcontractor activities with M&O authorities including the Operations Center (OC), M&O training of subcontractor staff, subcontractor deliveries.
  • Collect subcontractor daily rosters for accountability and emergency preparedness, accounting of subcontractor employees in emergency or drill, communicating plant access requirements to subcontractors and coordinating requirements for subcontractor visitors.
  • Coordinate construction related field activities between plant personnel (e.g. Project Subcontract Technical Representatives, Operations Center, Security, Safety, and Quality Personnel) and outside subcontractors to ensure project results meet subcontract requirements.
  • Order Supplies for Department & Construction Trades, e.g. job orders for Project Division, Shoe Vouchers, etc.
  • Procure, control and issue PPE.
  • Maintain Work Packages.
  • Archive Construction Work Packages and Direct Hire Payroll Packages.
  • Support Direct Hours and weekly payroll.
  • Track Contract Badge Requests, e.g. add to list, copy after signature, forward to Access Control and when returned, log in badge number and file.
  • Maintain Office Calendars, e.g. adding PTO, out-of-office, etc.
  • Perform Logistics coordination as support/alternate.
  • Update POTW.
  • Generate, maintain, and publish construction metrics and charts.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • High school diploma: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience. (Typical administrative experience ranging from 10–15 years.)
  • OR Associate degree: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, thorough working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Understanding of construction process in multi-discipline construction operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of subcontractor oversight processes with ability to work in team environments with little supervision.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
 
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
