Job Overview

Reporting to the Vice President of Qualico Communities, the Construction Manager - Communities is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the Construction - Communities including job production, staffing, budget, scheduling, safety, trade/supplier relationships and customer service.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain project schedules, budgets and staffing levels, and prepare regular progress reports.
  • Supervise, develop and provide guidance to team members and trades. 
  • Organize and assign work to ensure projects are completed in timely manner and with high quality workmanship. Ensure work is completed to deliver excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Build and foster positive relationship with suppliers and other related parties.
  • Conduct regular site inspections or assessments to identify and resolve deficiencies and potential issues.
  • Promote and enforce a safe work environment, ensuring work is completed in a safe manner and adhering to Qualico’s Safety Program and relevant health and safety legislation.

Essential Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, or equivalent. 

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a supervisory position overseeing vendors and trades on job sites where each home is being constructed. 
 Knowledge of general construction practices in the residential construction industry.

Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.

Working Conditions

Primarily works in an office setting during regular business hours. Overtime may occasionally be required.
