Primary Purpose:
To manage construction projects through planning and coordination with district staff, construction contractors, architects, engineers and others.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Facility Construction and Repair Projects
1. Manage construction on multiple school district projects including scheduling, RFI’s, change orders, and reviewing/approving contractor shop drawings.
2. Serve as project coordinator/liaison with contracted architectural, engineering and management professionals involved in planning, design and construction of projects.
3. Assure conformity of design with program requirements, time schedules, budget limitations, construction codes and district standards and criteria.
4. Ensure compliance with regulations and school district requirements in the performance of project work.
5. Review and approve contractor progress payments.
6. Update internal staff (administration, school leadership, etc.) on project progress and scheduling.
7. Monitor workmanship per contractual requirements on a regular basis at job sites.
8. Participate in planning and school facilities design conferences with department and district administrators.
9. Advise Chief of Construction and Design on matters regarding assigned functions/departments.

10. Ensure compliance with district, state, and national policies and procedures.
11. Produce field reports as necessary or the accomplishment of job requirements.
12. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required including coordinating the storage and handling of construction documents.
