Construction Safety Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify potential safety hazards on construction sites and develop strategies to mitigate risk.
Collaborate with project teams to establish site-specific safety plans and procedures.
Ensure that all construction activities adhere to relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety logs, staff certifications, incident reports, and OSHA record keeping.
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across multiple job sites.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and state/local regulations.
Continuously improve safety management systems and best practices.
Investigate, document, and manage EHS incidents, near misses, and injuries; identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
Manage regulatory OSHA reporting, permits, and required documentation.
Create and implement EHS training programs and informational materials as required to convey EHS policies and procedures for monthly safety meetings and new hire orientation.

Construction Safety Manager Requirements and Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in an EHS-related field or a bachelor's degree in EHS or a related field.
Construction safety management experience required.
OSHA 30 required.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations relating to the commercial construction industry.
Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving personnel issues in the workplace.
Experience with workers’ compensation and case management.
Strong document management skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
Must have solid employee training development and presentation skills.
