Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to support safety operations across multiple active job sites. This hands‑on, field‑based role ensures full compliance with OSHA, DOT, and state/local regulations, leads site audits, manages incident investigations, and delivers safety training to maintain a strong culture of safety.

This position is ideal for a safety professional who thrives in dynamic construction environments and is committed to operational discipline and risk reduction.

Work Schedule: Part‑Time, 20–40 hours per week

Requirements:

Site Safety & Risk Management

  • Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain site‑specific safety plans and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across multiple job sites.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with OSHA, DOT, and state/local regulations.

Incident Management & Compliance

  • Manage workers' compensation reporting and case follow‑up.
  • Perform root‑cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
  • Investigate, document, and manage EHS incidents, near misses, and injuries.
  • Maintain OSHA logs, certifications, incident reports, and regulatory documentation.

Training & Safety Programs

  • Develop and deliver safety training for new hires and monthly safety meetings.
  • Create safety materials, toolbox talks, and compliance‑focused training content.
  • Support continuous improvement of safety management systems and best practices.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • OSHA 30 Construction certification (required)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in personnel‑related matters.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations specific to construction.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an EHS‑related field OR a Bachelor's degree in EHS or related discipline.
  • Experience with incident investigations, workers' compensation, and safety documentation.
  • Construction safety management experience in commercial construction environments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting multiple job sites.
  • Strong ability to influence field teams and drive safety culture.
  • Familiarity with DOT compliance, subcontractor safety oversight, and job hazard analysis.
