The Superintendent is responsible for organizing, managing, and training DYWIDAG crews according to contract requirements in North America in a safe, efficient, and quality manner.  This shall be accomplished by utilizing your technical competence and acumen along with superior communication capabilities to deliver projects on time and on budget.  Results shall be measured in the form of safe, profitable work, ensuring contractual obligations are met and customer satisfaction is achieved.  The work performed will include structural repair and strengthening in various forms, infrastructure health monitoring and robotic inspection and maintenance.  Most work takes place in the heavy civil and commercial infrastructure markets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ensuring the safety of job site personnel through the development of site-specific safety execution plans is required for each project.  This shall be done in consort with the Project Manager on each project.
Work collaboratively with the Project Managers to ensure clear accountability and a coordinated approach is in place for on any given project.
Organize and schedule crews for any given project.
Daily project reporting utilizing Crew Tracks.
Build strong relationships with external clients, customers, engineers, vendors, and operational team members.
Recruit, train and develop field crews in United States to support business objectives and operational strategy.
Attend industry functions such as events, conferences and exhibitions on occasion when needed.
Work with the PM and sales to develop operational plans for any given project.
Maintain up to date, in depth knowledge of all Dywidag products and services.
Assist in resolving field performance and customer satisfaction issues as needed. 
Assist with the preparation of cost estimates as required to support sales and business development efforts for labor and material quotes.
Assist with due diligence in acquiring material and service pricing to ensure that Dywidag receives the best possible and most competitive 3rd party pricing.
Assist the PM with the preparation and submittal of shop drawings, work plans, and any other technical project submittals as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Technical degree preferred.
OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training preferred or the ability to obtain this training.
Post Tensioning Institute (PTI) Certified Level 2 Technician preferred
Working experience with HCSS Heavy Bid and Crew Tracks or the ability to learn this software quickly.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings of varying types and manage the field aspects of Dywidag projects to meet the contractual terms as required.
Must have experience on civil construction, heavy construction, DOT, bridge construction, repair and strengthening construction or similar construction site experience to be considered for this position. 

COMPETENCIES
Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate long-term relationships with clients and Dywidag team members and the ability to network internally within Dywidag.
Ability to write, think and speak technically.  A strong degree of technical acumen. 
Ability to listen well and establish rapport to manage successfully using a range of influencing and negotiating techniques.
Thorough understanding of post tensioning systems, carbon fiber systems, structural repair and strengthening systems and Dywidag products and services or the ability to gain this knowledge quickly. 
Excellent organizational, multitasking and time management skills.
Excellent customer service skills, remaining courteous always while promptly responding to requests.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel within North America and all US territories is required.
Travel shall be as required to meet the goals of the Company.  
Must have the ability to traverse a variety of construction site environments to oversee work and maintain site presence as required on any Dywidag project.
Regardless of the arrangement, occasional meetings shall be required in offices to facilitate project development, business development activities or other business meetings from time to time as determined by management at no set intervals.
The ability to work responsibly, effectively, and efficiently from a remote office is required when needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, laptop use, etc.
Ability to lift approximately 100 lbs.
